The role of the Association of Medical Psychotherapists in the Consortium is to offer the medical-psychological contents required for the development of the Impotence module. In particular the Association of Medical Psychotherapists:

- will define the characteristics of the developed Impotence module;
- will test its efficacy on both clinical and non-clinical samples;
- will define an integrated protocol for its use.

The Association of Medical Psychotherapist is a scientific-cultural non-profit social organization located in Mestre (Venice).Its institutional aims are: the promotion of psychotherapeutical medical activity, the safeguard of medical psychotherapeutical exercise, the promotion of information about medical psychotherapeutical activity with public and private institutions, the promotion of training and up-dating activities, encouraging cultural encounters between members and non-members, fostering cultural exchanges with other cultural and non-cultural associations, categories and centres finalised to similar aims, even if only partially.
The president of the Association is Dr. Renzo Giacomini, the vice-president is Dr. Ida Fraccon, the secretary-treasurer is Dr. Gabriele Optale, the counsellors Dr. Salvatore Capodieci, Dr. Antonella Turchetto and Dr. Aldo Panizzolo. The Association is constituted by doctors having titles to the inscription into the Association of Medical Psychotherapists according to the article 35 of Italian Law 56 of 1989 and its eventual future changes, and equivalent titles. Auditor members are also admitted.
  The association promotes study and research activities by carrying out  
    conventions, seminars training laboratories, and stages, and by the publication and collection of bibliographical material especially relevant to the sector, the goal being to scientifically examine the theoretical models and the intervention techniques that regard the links between psychotherapy and medicine.
